As a owner of hyresrätt (apartment) or bostadsrätt (co-operative apartment) you can be charged for overcharging rent/ taking excessive rent. The difference between a hyresrätt and bostadsrätt is that you can be forced to repay the excessive rent for hyresrätt but not for bostadsrätt. To avoid being charged, we always advice that you go with the rental priced recommended by Renthia.
